Limniona was almost extinct two decades ago. Working in Tyrnavos in central Thessaly, Christos Zafeirskis took over his family's grape-farming estate in the early 2000s and began championing the nearly-forgotten indigenous Greek variety. Limniona is his calling card: a perfumed, structured red sometimes likened to a cross between Pinot Noir and Nebbiolo.
