Lampyres Harvest Moon Rouge

François-Xavier Dauré is a 4th generation winemkaer from the village of Espira de L’Agly. This wine was drawn from purchased fruit from a nearby organically farming close friend of FX’s; the terroir is different from his schist-dominated soils – red-rock river beds and terraces for these vineyards. In vinification, the Grenache was destemmed and the Mourvèdre done whole-cluster; both were co-fermented in a fiberglass tank on skins for ten days, then pressed off and aged in inox for three months.
