The name, Sables Verts (“green sand”) refers to a unique greenish sand that is a component in many of the best vineyards of Saumur-Champigny. Rich in glauconite, this soil type gives the Cabernet Franc in this area a fresh, yet concentrated character. This chillable cuvée comes from several plots, with a relatively short maceration.
