Father-son team Bernard and Mathieu Baudry are two newer stars on the Chinon scene. Their estate is a blend of parcels of older vines planted in alluvial gravel beds and hillside clay. The Cabernet Franc for the Les Grezeaux cuvée comes from the oldest vines on the estate, clocking in at 65+ years old. Fermentation and aging of the wine then occurs in concrete tanks.
