Colle Florido Erba Salata

Colle Florido is situated in Abruzzo, just outside the little town of Pianella. This Montepulciano is from a north-east facing slope with calcareous clay soils. The berries are destemmed and placed in a large, open oak vat to ferment with their skins for just two weeks. After a soft pressing, the wine rests for almost two years in oak.
