Stéphane Riffault, Claude’s son and current estate owner, produces some of the finest wines in Sancerre. La Noue is a 2.5ha plot of Pinot Noir on clay limestone and marl. Divided into seven plots, ranging in age from 10 to 60 year’s old, the grapes in Stéphane’s La Noue Rouge spend 30 months aging in wooden tanks before bottling.
