Vanessa Cherruau is a steward of one of the Loire’s great terroirs – Chaume. Chaume is a sweet-wine only appellation so Vanessa cannot legally put Chaume on her labels but this does not deter her from making world-class dry wines. Vanessa also cultivates the only red grapes on the Chaume hill, contributing to her reputation as a rebel.
