Organic since 1991 and biodynamic since 1994, the Bretons have long been ahead of the curve. Their influence on the natural wine movement in the Loire Valley cannot be overstated. This wine comes from old-vine Grolleau from clay and silex soils. The Bretons' Grolleau undergoes carbonic maceration for 3 weeks in an open top wooden vat, whole cluster, with no pumpovers or punchdowns. The result is a light-bodied wine that shows its best with a slight chill.
